julie and greg got married - hulet is now keller

Note before the Note: To those of you who got married this summer...I think we'd all love to see photos and, well, like it or not your weddings are now part of your MBA experience.

Note: Before looking through the pictures, please understand that I was not the official photographer, which is why a) the majority of the pictures I took were at an angle (I refuse to get in the photographers way or give anyone another camera to look at) and b) I have no pics of just Julie and Greg. Those happened after I had already left for the reception.

This is the only picture I'm going to comment on. Can you see just how much Julie's dad loves her? I love this picture because I feel like it comes pretty dang close to capturing everything I felt looking at them.

Okay, and maybe this one. The man you see on the left is not Greg, but Julie's brother, Rob. Julie and this brother are particularly close. Due to the fact that the wedding was in Boston and Rob lives in Alaska, he was not going to be there. Well, a little sibling scheming took place (unbeknownst to Julie and her parents) and Rob showed up in Boston late Friday night. We were all excited to see Julie's reaction when she saw him. Seriously, it wouldn't have been better if someone had scripted and directed the scene. Julie walked into the room in the temple, totally oblivious. Her mom tried to make her look. Nothing. Then, suddenly, she saw him. She stopped breathing momentarily, walked out of the room, and began to sob--think Emma Thompson at the end of Sense and Sensibility, right after Hugh Grant comes back and explains that he is not married. Yes...it was just like that. We were all in tears by the time she came back into the room.

For the purpose of this blog, I will make one more comment...check out Emily flying through the air to Julie's left (your right as you look at it).

And the janitor didn't even mind...

Hey all. I guess it's high time I posted the pictures from our year end event at the Tanner building. The marshmallow egg drop was an event that will live on in our hearts (and on my thighs since I ate all the leftovers). Behold:

Yay for the lazy way to post a bunch of pictures. Click to enlarge!

Thanks for the good times all. Happy summer!

Mischief & Mayhem in Denver

With 3 of the fabulous women in the program interning in Denver we decided to have a little reunion to catch up on the latest gossip. We had an amazing time now they are working hard we need to play just as hard with those paychecks ladies.

At church on Sunday having so much beauty in one place was turning the heads of all the boys. For shame ladies flirting on the back row through Sunday School.
We started our day with Breakfast at Dozens. Shan was already checking out the waiters and patrons. Being Fabulous requires substance and this place delivers. Curtesy of UrbanSpoon we found this little established. No Shan we can't google the directions to UrbanSpoon.
Riding back from the Cherry Blossom Festival. Colin was kind enough to make it more like a rollercoaster to keep us screaming most of the way. Although nothing could be as loud and piercing as the shrieks we let fly when Carrie's delayed flight landed. I think the airport security was going to escort us out.

Our Big Quest saturday morning was to find the perfect sunglasses. Thank you Saks 5th Ave & Sunglass Hut!!!!!
Dinner at Marrekesh was Smokin' Hot!!! A little Moroccan food with some Belly Dancing lessons to help it settle the food was great.

The family next to us celebrating their daughters birthday looked kind of bored but I think we made the Belly Dancer's night with our cheers and exuberance. She kept coming back for more.
Unfortunately by the time we got to the best Jazz bar in Denver it was packed. Blues on Blakes was OK but ideal for practicing the art of tying cherry stems with our tongues. Thank you Breakfast Club for teaching us these critical skills them seem to overlook in the MBA program.

Thanks everyone for the great memories and beautiful pictures.

julie's getting married

A little more from Julie's shower. So much fun! So glad so many of you could be there. I love that most of the pics of Julie show her being embarrassed, since that is the majority of what was going on! And if you haven't checked out the video Kim posted, you should.

Manage this......

So of the many stories of success this year (internships, engagements, completing the first yr etc) Julie's sticks out pretty well(6 weeks incredible), but watch out ladies she has made a promise last night. I am not sure whether to be afraid or excited ?

bowling! (aka i took lots of photos of emily tanner?)

A group of us went to Fat Cats last night to have a little post finals (for some...I'm still working on Global...and by still working, I mean working on starting) celebration. Here are some fun pics of the good times. Emily ended up being the star of the photo shoot...mainly because she was there and willing to pose...thanks, Em!

I love having my picture taken...by myself. (I can't remember who took this, but obviously I was excited!)

What I want you to notice in the photo above is Emily's super amazing hair! (So I cropped the photo and you can see it below.)

Oh, Jessamyn...we will miss you next year (or at least I will...and I bet Kristin will, too).

Oh, Dave and Emily! $10 to anyone who can tell me what they are both thinking.

Kristan and her darling sister, Shannan. How photogenic does one family need to be?

I think this picture is hilarious. We took another one (that Emily likes better), but this is the result of us "flipping our hair" and posing.

Is it weird to anyone else that Julianne won't be around next year? It's all going to be so different...but the same...but different.

I really hope everyone is going to post some of their adventures of the summer here (even if you just copy and paste what you post on your own blog). But, if you don't, I will, and this can just be an extension of my own blog. (Please, let's not make that happen.)

are we human, or are we dancers?

I realize Michelle is not part of our class, however, I loved this face...and Emily's focus.

BH and AM kicking it up, country style! (But the best part...check out the couple in the background.)

Erin...no caption needed.

Jenny letting loose...I love it! I'm only sad I didn't catch her serious moves.

I'm so glad our class is full of dancers! I think it was worth the DJ.
